Greetings! Vadim, I'm trying to cross compile on Linux (Debian) with

such things?

Not yet. Still fighting on Windows ground. My ALT Linux distro has
Linux-mingw cross compiler but I still have quite deem idea how to use
it.

Apart from this, I'm thinking we should default to either no
C optimization or the maximum C optimization which does not trigger the
known ansi-tests bug in loading universe.lsp, along with
-Wl,--stack=8388608, on windows. Could you check out the effects of
these on what you see below? If the error still persists, a gdb
backtrace would of course help.

Probably something is wrong on my msys/mingw setup. I recall having
similar trouble with Maxima's specfn.lsp in the past. I'm investigating.

Shall I test Version_2_6_2c2 or Version_2_6_2pre ?

Greetings!

Sorry for some delay (hardware replacement and total
OS reinstall).

OK, I've made a branch tag Version_2_6_2pre, and a non-branch
(i.e. read-only) tag Version_2_6_2c1. My intention is that nothing
else will go into 2.6.2 except for release notes describing the
results of testing as outlined below. So I would like to request the
following from our official port maintainers, which to my
understanding are:
GNU/Linux, Debian 12 platforms, FC1: me
OpenBSD : Magnus Henoch
FreeBSD : Mark Murray (if still around), otherwise me
MacOSX : Aurelien
Windows : Mike Thomas, with Vadim and David Billinghurst perhaps assisting
Solaris : me

Just small addition. I mantain gcl for ALT Linux distribution
(www.altlinux.com). I'll provide report for this platform a bit
later (though I don't expect much difference from other Linux
distros ...).

But I have some unexpected troubles on Windows XP SP1
(Athlon XP 3000+, 512Mb).
