Good Morning Don, As part of setting up my gcl development environment, on Debian Linux 6.0.8 I've successfully deployed gcl.info.tgz so that (help ...) (help* ...) (info ...) work correctly. However, on Windows cygwin, I have tried a number of things, including using init.lsp to redefine si::*info-paths* and copying the contents to /usr/share/info but I have not been able to get this to work. Invocation of (help ...) (help* ...) (info...) reports the following errors: (not found "dir")(not found "gcl.info")I have posted a log of this on my web site at: http://www.noreastercybertech.org:5864/gcl/gcl-ansi-2.6.10-i386-winXP-gcl-info-issues-20140104095753.txt Please review and advise as soon as you can. Thanks for your continued consideration and support and for any information you can provide. Sergei -------- Original Message --------
I created a gcl-ansi-2.6.10-win32 distribution package (7982128 bytes) which is available at: http://www.noreastercybertech.org:5864/gcl/gcl-ansi-2.6.10-win32.tar.gz It includes a gcl.sh bash script for launching within a cygwin session. I've successfully deployed and tested it on another Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit platform. I was able to deploy it to a Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit platform but gcl.exe immediately terminates with no errors and return code 1. It's likely to be the 32-bit dlls in the distribution, so a successful build on a 64-bit platform will be necessary, but if you have the time, please check the distribution package and let me know if you find anything. Thanks for your consideration and support. Sergei -------- Original Message --------
Hello Don, Thanks very much for the note. I'll put together a 32-bit distribution to see if it works on a 64-bit Windows 7 platform and will let you know. Happy New Year! Sergei |
