Greetings!  I test new versions on mac before release, so I guess I must
have a different macosx version.  I have:

Darwin vinyl.csres.utexas.edu 12.5.0 Darwin Kernel Version 12.5.0: Sun
Sep 29 13:33:47 PDT 2013; root:xnu-2050.48.12~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

and it seems to work on both 2.6.11 and 2.6.12.

What is macports?  If someone can

cd unixport
make raw_pre_gcl
readelf -a raw_pre_gcl 

and post the output, that would be helpful.
