I suppose this would mean config file parsing and all too . . .

Config file parsing is not a problem. I've got a C++ class I wrote for another GNU project that's just for config files.

Is anyone interested in such a feature?

Well, what I'd rather see is an extension of Flash's security model in a way that all network connections off your machine go through some kind of check. The requested network connection could pop up a dialog box asking to confirm, or check a configurable blacklist/whitelist as well. This would accomplish the same thing, but would also be applied to the standalone player as well. I find all sorts of weird little things in flash movies to notify somebody that their movie has been played, so a feature like this would prevent that. Now I have to disassemble, remove the offending lines, and then reassemble it to a flash movie again.

How much time do you have ? This sounds like an offer. :-)
