seems like SMSD stuck

Hi there, I've just installed gnokii 0.6.18 and smsd 1.4
I use Mysql, create a new database "smscoba" and then run this command :
  mysql -u root -D smscoba <
/home/xhino/gnokii-0.6.18/smsd/sms.tables.mysql.sql

then I have a problem, it seems like SMSD stuck when I enter this command : 
  smsd -u root -c localhost -m mysql -d smscoba

can somebody help me please?
is there something wrong with my configuration?

this is my configuration for gnokiiirc:

port = /dev/ttyS0
model = 8210
initlength = default
connection = serial
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 19200
handshake = software
sm_retry = 1
smsc_timeout = 10
bindir = /usr/sbin/
