I'm having a few connection problems, and was wondering if anyone has come across a solution... I have an OEM Nokia GSM modem here (Teltonika), which, using Minicom, I can communicate with - no problem. /dev/ttyUSB0 (it uses a USB-to-Serial chip) However, to do so, I have to have the speed set to 230400 8N1.
I've been studying the FBUS baud-thing for a while now. I have a genuine Nokia USB CA-42 and a 6610i and they don't seem to pair well with Gnokii.
My initial thought was that baud rate has something to do with it, but it looks like I ran into a lucky streak and my conclusion was incorrect. What I did find out was that changing speeds is essential for FBUS to work. If you're running with model AT none of that applies to you. So hopefully your modem will work with fixed baudrate.
So far I've managed to get the phone running so that first attempt initializes the phone and second attempt does the trick.
