It does, however affect the amalgamation of D14 and F15.
With CB20, they are not the same dragon.
Without CB20, they are the same dragon.

gq -l games/trevor/trevor_46.sgf -T
(with alias gq='nice -n 19 ../interface/gnugo.exe --quiet')
shows the difference nicely.
