[gnugo-devel] KGS Tournament Registration

We wish to register SlugGo in the formal division.
Charlie has been putting SlugGo up for play on KGS, so while I believe that this is the official registered name on KGS, I am not possitive.

I have the permission of the GNU Go folks, who will not be entering in the formal division.
All other developers are past or present members of the SlugGo team.

The full list of SlugGo developers is:

David G Doshay
Charlie McDowell
Brian Chavez
Kai Wang
Will Zhang
Harry Wang
Phil Curry
and the GNU Go development team for the embedded GNU Go engine

Contact should be through me, David Doshay at either address@hidden or address@hidden

Here are some emails verifying the permission of the GNU Go dev team:

I was planning to register GNU if nobody else showed an interest but I
won't be able to watch much of the tournament anyway, so it's fine
with me to let SlugGo play.

Fine with me. Absolutely no changes in GNU Go lately, anyway.

Nick Wedd has stated that programs derived from GNU Go,
including SlugGo and Evan's GoFigure cannot play in the
same tournament as GNU Go on KGS.

Would we be willing to take a bye in a future tournament
so that SlugGo could play?

This would be fine by me.
