Apache seems to remain free for individuals to download and use; Oscar
Mcmaster could have been free : or was it forced to be commercial?
Likewise, is Apache commercial or not? It’s http server gets bundled a
lot . Trolltech might be smaller than Sun (is Trolltech still around or
independent)
so small is good therefore QT is better than java. Python has
pythonlabs.com or something like that. Hibernate seems to be written by
an ozzie, but he
might charge because it’s pretty good stuff , or seems to be : anyone
know? If you use an IDE to assist gui design and production , and the
GUI is
in the open source domain, does it mean the code isn’t really free for
all? What about the proposition that if you never plan to sell it, it
always stays free?
