Today I encountered something we need to keep in mind when distributing
Gnumed. We should keep a list of supported distributions and package
revisions.

Some weeks ago I updated python from 2.2.3 to 2.3.
It turns out that this caused problems with wxPython.

Everything looked ok except that it would not draw labels on wxGrid columns.
When I installed wxPython that was built against python 2.3 the problems went
away. I have not checked the original Suse packages. They should be python
2.2 and wxPython linked against python 2.2.

I guess this doesn't happen on Debian :-)
Anyway. Many projects define build environments these days. Maybe this is
something we need to consider. I don't intend to force Karsten to leave
python 2.1 and wxPython0.9 (just kidding) but it makes little sense to have
all sorts of revisions including the ones the users come up with and try to
explain odd behavior.

But maybe this will be up to the companies who want to sell and support
Gnumed. They can take care of the installation at the client's site.
