If you really want to install FreeB on a Debian system you should rather go
with the drastically enhanced packages at

   http://people.debian.org/~tille/packages/freeb/

I agreed with Jeff that he will be the official maintainer of these packages
and that I will upload this as his sponsor to the official Debian mirror.  This
will be probably also interesting for GnuMed.
