And by the time you are ready to start on GNUmed 2.0, Febrl should be
quite mature and ready to be use. I certainly want to push its
development to fulfilling the look-up engine role, as well as being a
batch-oriented linkage engine for epidemiological research purposes.
Note also there is an active project to develop a geocoding engine using
Febrl infrastructure - we have a working prototype which uses the
Australian G-NAF georeferenced address file, but will eventally work
with other such files for other countries.
