While I personally use Emacs here I have heard many good news about nvu.  Also
bluefish might be an option.

No reason to be sorry.  Aren't we computer adictives not all lazy in one or
the other way and are clever enough to let the computer do what we are to lazy
for?  IMHO you have to find the sum of effort:

    1) Maintaining a Wiki-system and keep it securely running + fast editing
    2) Have a simple web server with default setup + slower editing

It's your decision which method fits best.
