for another project i did edifact im/export in python
but i had the messages as plain text files.

and as poeple are discussing different encryptions it might be better
to separate sender verification from edifact reading

on the other hand if the sender is inside edifact ?

where does what come from and where should it end ?

No. We haven't hat a use case.
