This seems to be the latest patch level for 10.4

Apprently it really uses the python from the app bundle

still not using the system's python, which is good.

You have a power PC architecture. GNUmed comes as a universal binary. This
should work but maybe there are slight differences.
As we are just starting to package for Mac we will hopefully improvements over
time.
Have you had a chance to look at Osirix 2 ?
