Yes. Client 0.2.8.x needs database v8 to work correctly.

Only if you tell the client to give you the choice to
override its mismatch detection.

BTW, the log you attached says that it did NOT allow you to
connect to the wrong database.

Either.

If you have v9 you also have v8 unless you explicitely
dropped v8. You may need to check your config files and make
them point to v8, though.

If you want to use 0.3 on Sidux follow the semi-automatic
advice on this page:
