That's right. You'd have to use something like pgAdminIII
for now (which, for that very reason, is callable directly
from a GNUmed menu item).

The reason is understood.

This becomes infinitely complex once you start thinking of
the need to be able to fix typos in fixes of typos in fixes
of typos ad infinitum.
