I suppose easiest would be to simply
- down-cursor
- import assistant is not sure
- simply presses the ? key, and tabs to next field

In the case of a new patient or new episode or new issue, whatever the import assistant had input (e.g. "?" or "new" or "new patient") would be editable by the clinician (i.e. the created episode could be kept, sparing the nuisance of deletion).

Presently the "Associate to episode" field defaults to show all past episodes, including "closed" ... would it be better if this emulates the Notes editor, which offers only the problem list (i.e. active problems)?

The might better help the import assistant avoid making a wrong assignment.
--> wishlist?

It occurs to me that the praxis may receive information about problems that had until now gone inactive and therefore be missing from the list but, provided the import assistant uses good judgement, and always enters "?" when the match is not obvious, that may be OK because the clinician upon having to review the EMR tree should need to understand that a hitherto inactive problem had become active again and edit it to "active" which they may do at the time of signing or if they miss to do this at the time of the next visit (if the document caused a need to recall the patient)

It can be made a wishlist item to make that nullable. I

don't consider it of particular priority, though.

I think the above may suffice. Will wait to see if others would deem nullability desirable.
