Maybe of interest are the CCHIT 2008 certifications (functional requirements) including EHR criteria and test scripts Part of their test scripts document is offered below. While I maintain affection for Kirk and Spock and the nerdiness of Kirk having been tentacled (and there is no reason we cannot keep in Kirk and Spock) I think I might very much like us to be pre-loading the CCHIT test data... such an approach: - spares us a lot of brain cycles otherwise thinking up the information - may allow us some copy/paste instead of it all having to be keyboard input - documentation is already done for us! Agreement? Disagreement? Thoughts? ================================ Test Environment Setup Parameters for Script Execution Users • There must be four Physician type users with valid login. These users must have at least the following permissions: full access to all clinical functions. o Dr. Alexander – Primary Care Physician in scenario 1 o OB/GYN in scenario 2 o Dr. Butler – Internist in scenario 3 o Dr. Jones – Internist • There must be one Nurse Practitioner type user with valid login. This user must have at least the following permissions: access to all clinical functions. o Ellen Thompson, CFNP – for use in Scenario 1 • There must be one Nurse type user with valid login. This user must have at least the following permissions: access to all clinical functions. • There must be one Reception type user with valid login. This user must have access to only the following functions: registration and demographic functions. • There must be one Medical Assistant type user with valid login. This user must have at least the following permissions: access to all clinical functions and access to all information necessary to carry out test procedures 4.71 to 4.87. • There must be one Security Administrator type user with valid login.
