Not for that, anyways. I did use it to enter some strings
for the Python OpenEMR project.

Yep, that's taken from the de.po file.

It very likely does.

Strangely enough, the GNUmed CVS (and by consequence any
Bazaar push thereof) doesn't even contain a gnumed.pot
translation template file ;-) All there is are the
individual .po translation files. That is because the .pot
file is readily regenerated any time.

Ah, good to know. It contains something akin to an HTML
"snippet" without headers and footers.
