What do you expect to happen by "interoperation" ?  You need
to be more specific.

What you are asking is "can VW Polo Benzin and Ford Fiesta
Diesel be made compatible ?". You need to state whether you
are asking that in respect to "drive on the same road", "fit
the same parking space", "be repaired with the same parts",
"drive on the same fuel", ...

That would be the first necessary step.
