As xelatex is calling pdflatex, it is clear that anything that work with
pdflatex will work with xelatex + additional advantage of system and unicode
fonts. Therefore if we call xelatex through gnumed, the existing templates will
work. It will in addition allow use of unicode with modification of templates.
