I doubt that the upgrade was successfull. I guess it was attempted but never 
succesfully finished.
 
@Vaibhav: Please check if you have one or two Postgresql installed on the 
machine in question. You can tell by looking at 

c:\program files\postg....

Is there just PostgresPlus or PostgresqlPlus and PostgreSQL ? Have in all 
directories starting with Postgres. Is there just a folder 8.4 or another one 
9.2 ?

I would assume that you only have PGPlus 8.4 installed and there should be 
only one directory.

If that is the case (only one postgresql installed - version 8.4) you can 
safely install PG 9.2 with the method I said in the other mail ("silent 
instal")

If you have two postgres versions on your system already stop right here and 
let us know.

Do not take any shortcuts.
