Hi Adam,

I did just a few weeks ago retry GNUstep on Linux, so the last version
that I remember as being faster should be more than half a year ago.
This is along time, and we changed the whole structure of our back ends
inbetween.
What I do remember is that resizing a window with a text view was always
slow, but now all windows are almost that slow. 
Another reason for the slowness may be that I did update to KDE 3 and a
newer release of Xfree86. So if I am the only one who has the impression
that resizing is now much slower I will inspect my machine for possible
reasons.
