The code has been changed a month ago, but if nobody reports if it works
or not on their platform, it's hard to know! ;-)

After waiting for a month for feedback, I have to assume that people have
been using trunk and have no problems with it.  The code looks good.

Anyhow, at least you reported that it works for you with clang on FreeBSD.
