Yeah, that "ATT" message was already there.  It is emitted from the vanilla (3.17) code.

Yes,  it reports true-track and magnetic-track.  We agree on this.

The magnetic track, though, where should that be written?  *Specifically*, which member of which struct?   Because I don't see any match in gpsd's documentation: http://www.catb.org/gpsd/gpsd_json.html
