Problems with miss-behaving uBlox Module

Hi,

we experienced windows of about 5-7 seconds where no data from GPSd (via the IP interface at port 2947) was received when GPSd is connected to our uBlox (NEO M8N, SPG 3.01, EXT CORE 3.01 (107900), Protocol 18.00) modules.

After investigations with strace we found that the UBX-NAV-PVT message sometimes reports a length of zero. This leads to the lexer not working and the lexer-buffer filling up until an error occurs and the buffer is reset. Attached a strace output of an offending message.

We currently believe this to be a bug in the firmware of our modules but are checking with uBlox.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of issues?

Thanks, Andreas Neustifter
