Hi Gary
Today the glitching has gone away - hate when things are
unexplained... Could be something to do with satellites I guess?
OK this problem seems to happen when I have 2 machines listening to the
tcp feed - so possibly some quirk with the socat/gpspipe feed?
The kplex feed doesn't exhibit the glitching
I have 3 socat processes on the machine generating the feed:
root@TSB-168:~# ps aux|grep gps
root 1834 0.0 0.1 4636 1508 ? S 09:50 0:00 socat
EXEC:gpspipe -r TCP-LISTEN:10110,reuseaddr,fork
root 3609 0.0 0.1 4636 1504 ? S 09:54 0:00 socat
EXEC:gpspipe -r TCP-LISTEN:10110,reuseaddr,fork
root 5710 0.0 0.1 2116 1176 pts/1 S+ 09:58 0:00 grep gps
nobody 25932 0.4 0.3 13876 3124 ? S<s 09:34 0:05
/usr/sbin/gpsd -n /dev/gps_data
root 32055 0.0 0.1 4636 2028 ? S 09:46 0:00 socat
EXEC:gpspipe -r TCP-LISTEN:10110,reuseaddr,fork
root 32056 0.0 0.1 4412 1856 ? S 09:46 0:00 gpspipe -r
