Chrony converges faster than NTPSec on startup, and is fine with
standalone operation.

NTPSec takes longer to converge, but eventually it is the more stable
chimer.  It also prefers 4 or more chimers (minsane) so it can use its
clustering algorithm for rubustness.

So: use chronyd on your laptop, and NTPsec on your pool server.
