This must be an error during mail handling!  Many mail programs don't
like a single line consisting of a `.', I believe, since this is the
traditional way to end a mail...

It's not me: I've just tested my mailing sytem on my Laptop :-)

Morale: Always send man pages compressed.

I've used the man pages for a longer time now, and I don't find severe
problems either.

It will add it.
