A typo in ch04.t, line 1338 (from archive utp_beta2.1a):
specìal -> special
This is due to OCR I think...
Another problem is the following code in appc.t:

groff 1.17.2 prints the marked lines incorrectly; there is only one
leading space (in font CW) instead of two. My groff version -- CVS +
not-yet-committed changes -- yields the correct result but which is
typographically wrong due to the two leading spaces (I hope that
1.18.1 gives the correct result also :-).
A similar, inverse problem exists in line 1444 of ch04.t where groff
1.17.2 prints an incorrect result while current groff formats
correctly.
