Thank you all. In fact I want to find out heirloom is because of being
frustrated several tools developed on FreeBSD designed to process
Chinese failed to work on the server (Linux) thanks to lack of multibyte
support of commandline tools (first I hit is gnu tr which doesn't work
with multibyte) then I have to find something else to turn to. I just
discovered heirloom works for me.
gnu core-util's tr's not being able to support multibyte is filed as bug
in 2004, in the same year FreeBSD fixed their tr.
