I am just not always that brilliant.Why on earth is that flag in there? If you enable it, stuff won't compile anymore. And I merely needed to turn on verbose output for grub-install :p. Not that it would have helped much, but at least troubleshooting would have been faster.
Omg. I blame the heat. Trying to get a system working that already works just fine.
