I have already created the links to the new "ALLERGIC" conditions group
for the ICD10 related diseases.
I just posted an image that shows this mapping https://twitter.com/gnuhealth

The grouping or tagging is disease-list dependent. For example, initial
list of disease group , including the allergic group is general (belongs
to the main health module), but the mapping for the ICD-10 subset of
allergic diseases belongs to the health_icd10 module.

So, if a new coding system would be introduce, we should create a new
module, and then map the diseases to the different groups, like we are
doing in the ICD10

It seems like SNOMED requires a license (
http://www.ihtsdo.org/licensing/), and that only a limited number of
countries could use it for Free. If you have more information about
whether is Free to use with Free Software, please let us know !

Thanks a lot, Andrew ! It does indeed look great and with more elements
in the drug allergies section.

The way GNU Health is designed today is that we can have the allergic
disease (with a specificity degree depending on the antigen list), and
then in the patient related section we'll have the details for that
individual (for example, severity of the reaction), and we could specify
the substance if the condition from the list is generic.

For example, let's say that someone is allergic to Nickel. Once
selected, GNU Health will show automatically in the front panel that the
patient suffers from "Allergic Contact Dermatitis Due to Metals", if we
used the ICD10 list.

Once you enter the patient disease details, you can specify the
severity, and the type of metal that this patient is allergic to. In
this case we would type "Nickel".

Take a look at the screenshot of groupings and let me know your thoughts.

Best,
