I'm not an expert on translations at all, but I think that it would be nice to
separate punctuation from words, because as you say, they are translated only
once :)
In that case, I think is better to have ": ", since the punctuation goes right
by the word, without space.
In any case, any i18n advise from experts on the field will be much
appreciated :D
BTW, I just posted on our Matrix channel this issue with fonts...

Trying to figure out and clean the fodt to reduce the fonts to one "universal"
... that would also clean up the report file quite a bit.
