It's not a major concern like set -e, and doesn't come up nearly as often.
The only page I know off hand that talks about it is

And the only reason it's even mentioned on there is because someone
who has a -u habit found that their -u broke the perfectly good example,
and posted their workaround. Then I cleaned it up, and now it's as
you see it.
