There were only two places in my cfservd.conf that had two spaces in them,
and fixing that did not resolve my problem.  It might be a DNS issue --
that is, I might be getting spurious responses sometimes -- but whatever
it is, it's intermittent, so I expect that it's not a configuration issue.

As Mark recommended, I'm running the server in debug mode for a while;
we'll see what that turns up.
