Fellow Cfengine users and guru's
I am in the process of setting up cfengine and I am running into
authentication issues.....
The first time I ran cfagent on the client (raptor) the public key for
the server was copied to the client and the public key for the client
copied to the server....I thought I was home free........
The next time I ran cfagent (cfagent -vq -K) on the client, I received
this error.
>Checking copy from staggerwing:/var/cfengine/dist/etc/motd to /etc/motd
>Connect to staggerwing = 10.10.9.179 on port 5308
>Updating last-seen time for staggerwing
>Loaded /var/cfengine/ppkeys/root-10.10.9.179.pub
>
>...............................................................
>cfengine:raptor: Strong authentication of server=staggerwing connection
confirmed
>cfengine:raptor: Server returned error: Host authentication failed.
Did you forget >the domain name or IP/DNS address registration (for ipv4
or ipv6)?
>cfengine:raptor: Can't stat /var/cfengine/dist/etc/motd in copy
>Saving the setuid log in /var/cfengine/cfagent.raptor.log
Which host is failing authentication?
And what is this trying to tell me..... "Did you forget >the domain name
or IP/DNS address registration..."
The domain is defined and the server is registered in DNS.
What am I missing?
