That's very useful thanks, I'll try to adapt bits of that to ID keymaps!

Anyone have ideas on how to detect/ID macros? 

Is it reasonable to ignore the possibility that either of those are primitives 
or byte-code?

Any additional symbol types likely to be of interest?
