If you are looking for interactive commands...
Store window/frame configuration:
`window-configuration-to-register` bound to `C-x r w` by default.
`frameset-to-register` bound to `C-x r f` by default.
Restore window/frame configuration:
`jump-to-register` bound to `C-x r j` by default.
