[Help-gnucap] telling transistor names to gnucap

Novice me asks: looking at gnucap-tutorial.gz it seems even simple I
might be able to use gnucap. However, the circuit I want to test,
http://www.g3vgr.co.uk/civ.htm has well known parts like 2N2222A etc.
I suppose one cannot give these well known part numbers to gnucap, and
instead must use lists like
http://zeus.cedcc.psu.edu/semi/gptindex.html and then tell the
specifications to gnucap. Maybe I should quit while I'm ahead.
