Google to the rescue....

I did a google search for 2n2222 spice model, and came up with:

http://www.fe.uni-lj.si/spice/getstarted/getstarted.html

which says:

.model 2n2222 npn (is=19f bf=150 vaf=100
+ ikf=0.18 ise=50p ne=2.5 br=7.5
+ var=6.4 ikr=12m isc=8.7p nc=1.2 rb=50
+ re=0.4 rc=0.3 cje=26p tf=0.5n cjc=11p
+ tr=7n xtb=1.5 kf=0.032f af=1)

and
http://downloads.solarbotics.net/pdf/2n2222.pdf
a data sheet from Fairchild
says:

.model 2n2222 NPN (Is=14.34f Xti=3 Eg=1.11 Vaf=74.03 Bf=255.9
+ Ne=1.307 Ise=14.34f Ikf=.2847 Xtb=1.5 Br=6.092 Nc=2 Isc=0
+ Ikr=0 Rc=1 Cjc=7.306p Mjc=.3416 Vjc=.75 Fc=.5 Cje=22.01p
+ Mje=.377 Vje=.75 Tr=46.91n Tf=411.1p Itf=.6 Vtf=1.7 Xtf=3
+ Rb=10)

Gnucap takes Spice models. Often all you need to do is a
google search, and it will find it for you.

Don't forget, there is a large variation in these devices. Of
these models, one shows a beta (Bf) of 255.9. The other shows
150. The 255.9 is probably the actual measured value for one
particular device. Real ones can be anywhere from 30 up.
These two models are significantly different in all parameters.

I am looking for a volunteer to collect models for the gnucap
web page. Any takers?

al.
