hi there!

after not using gnunet for some time, i just downloaded the newest
versions of gnunet and libextractor. there are some problems mainly with
libextractor: the ogg plugin doesn't work and there seem to be problems
with finding the shared libs. some examples:

address@hidden:/data/ogg/Phish/A Live One 2$ extract Phish\ -\ A\ Live\ One\ 2\
-\ 01\ -\ Wilson.ogg
Loading library
libextractor_mime failed (file not found)!
extract: relocation error: /usr/local/lib/libextractor_ogg.so.0: undefined
symbol: ov_open_callbacks

address@hidden:/data/home/zottel/mp3/Pyranja/Im_Kreis$ extract
01_Pyrania_Im_Kreis.mp3
Loading library
libextractor_mime failed (file not found)!
description - Pyranja: Im Kreis (Im Kreis)
date - 2001
album - Im Kreis
artist - Pyranja
title - Im Kreis

inserting/indexing via gnunet-gtk doesn't work at all, or better: doesn't
find any keywords by itself. it produces the following output whenever i
select a file:

Loading library libextractor_ogg failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_html failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_mp3 failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_png failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_gif failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_real failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_jpeg failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_pdf failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_ps failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_zip failed (file not found)!
Loading library
libextractor_mime failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_filename failed (file not found)!
Loading library libextractor_split failed (file not found)!

i saw a tip somewhere saying i should change DSOEXT to "" in
gnunet.conf, but if i do so, gnunetd won't start at all because it fails
to find libgnunettransport_*.

and there was one thing that reminded me of earlier times: X-) after
running for about 2 days gnunet-stats said that "currently connected
nodes" were 0. i killed the gnunetds, three of which would only vanish
when i used SIGKILL. now, after a restart, there were first 7 connected
nodes, then 6, now 5 (after an uptime of 5697 s). let's see if it goes
down to 0 again.

my system is a debian linux mainly in testing state with some unstable
packages. i'm running libc-2.3.1-5 (still -5 because of the regex-bug in
all the later packages which causes my mutt to segfault). i'm connected
via an ADSL flatrate that changes IP every 24h. my HELO expires after 60
mins.

are these known bugs? i can't view bugs in mantis because mozilla
mysteriously says: "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to
load the requested page." when i click on "View Bugs". especially the
libextractor issues are very annoying, they keep me from indexing my
oggs. ;-)

regards, zottel
