That's the problem, I'm quite sure. This file should be called `boothdr.S' and not `boothdr.s'. Does building GNU Mach work if you rename it? And why was it stored with a lower case `s' at all?
You were right about the problem, Thomas! I renamed the file and make got a little further before another error came out. :(
Here is how make ends (this time): make -C i386 sysdep.a make[1]: Entering directory `[GNU Mach source-dir]/[GNU Mach build-dir]/i386' make[1]: *** No rule to make target `kdasm.o', needed by `sysdep.a'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `[GNU Mach source-dir]/[GNU Mach build-dir]/i386' make: *** [i386/sysdep.a] Error 2 Can we be facing a series of misnamed files??? Arrrgh!
