Warnings without line numbers either demonstrate yet another strategic deficiency in Octave infrastructure (in Perl, for example, warnings come with line numbers) or, if the infrastructure is in place, complete cluelessness of the coder(s) who implemented the (broadcasting) code.
Sergei, when I was raising a couple of rowdy teenage children, I found it helpful to attend community classes on child psychology and such. An important lessons they teach is that it is a counter-productive mistake to attribute personal character traits to individual actions. If one doesn't like the outcome, one should put a good argument as to why it's wrong and what should have been done instead, while expressing love and commitment to the person you're stuck with, whether a teenager or Octave developer :)
