If you read the thread, I already pointed out that it seems that Xoctave is
crashing....
not the octave core.

 Crash data already went to the guys at Xoctave.
Obviously,as you pointed out, the members of this group have nothing to do
with it.
Nonetheless, the gpib_read providing half of the array... I think it belongs
here.
