I am trying to save plots made with gui-octave (4.4.1) in formats other than .ofig on Mac OS X - High Sierra.
I think it's important to add how you've installed GNU Octave 4.4.1 on macOS because there are plenty of options: homebrew, macports, fink (https://wiki.octave.org/Octave_for_macOS) , the native app (https://octave-app.org/) and I'm sure I've missed some.
