Yes, it does run. Some older kernels need to configure it
with --disable-generational-gc but it is pretty evident from the fact that it
locks up
some lines after it says
"If the script locks up, reconfigure with --disable-generational-gc"
On some other machines, instead, it configures and makes correctly.
