[help-texinfo] url getting mixed with span class

Hello,

First of all, I have to thank you for the great tool.

In my HTML output, when I use

@url{https://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-users-never-heard-of-gnu.html}

I get the following HTML code:

<a href="<span 
class="nocodebreak">https://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-users-never-heard-of-gnu.html</span>"><span 
class="nocodebreak">https://www.gnu.org/gnu/gnu-users-never-heard-of-gnu.html</span></a>

You can see the HTML output for several such links as this part of my 
manual:

and the full Texinfo source file from here:

I wanted to know what I am doing wrong?
