Have done

sudo make TEXMF=/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin install-tex

running "/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin/texi2pdf 06a-amcoh.texi"
gave

--------

hagbard@fuckup:
+ ~/01cuneus/tdr/06ch
/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin/texi2pdf 06a-amcoh.texi

/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin/texi2pdf 06a-amcoh.texi
/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin/texi2pdf: 37:
/home/hagbard/Admir/bin/texinfo/bin/texi2pdf: texi2dvi: not found

It could be looking at /usr/local/bin/texi2dvi
